Xtreem Shuffle Challenges - Series 1

 

> Xtreem Shuffle takes you beyond your comfort zone and throws you into a brave new world of Shuffling

> Xtreem Shuffle is for Shufflers who really want a challenge. Shufflers who want to explore their capabilities, push their boundaries and personal bests, beyond anything they have ever known before.

 

> This first series of challenges explores some of the great dance tracks, a few rock tracks, and a bit of JPop and to lighten your mood a bit.

These tracks have been chosen to broaden your shuffle style, from a range of Shuffle levels, beginner to pro.

They purposely get you to do something different, such as shuffling to a different genre or slower tempo to force you to come up with new Shuffle moves.

HINT EXAMPLE - with a bit slower tempo, you can fit more moves in between the beats. Effectively doubling your shuffle speed.

You will find yourself wondering just how you can Shuffle to this at every turn - surprise yourself, surprise us, and remember always...

There are no boundaries in the Melbourne Shuffle

 

WHAT TO DO

• You can do one or all of the challenges.
• You can take as long as you like working it out
• There is no time limit or close date.
• You can Shuffle solo or as a team/crew.
• You can make a shuffle compilation.
• You can make as many remixes of a track as you like.
• You can include all of the soundtrack in the vids or just part of it.
• When you've made your Xtreem Shuffle vid, post it on youtube with 'xtreemshuffle' as a tag and post it on the Official XtreemShuffle forum threads according to which track you've done
• Here are instructions on embedding vids on the forum

 

SOMETHING XTRA

• Complete 8 of these 11 challenges and you will earn the right to be called... Xtreem Shuffle Champion (xsc1) series 1
• Include DREAM THEATRE - DARK ETERNAL NIGHT as one of the 8, and because of it's xtreem difficulty, you will be called...Xtreem Shuffle Champion Plus Honours (xsc1+) series 1
• All who complete 8 of these 11 challenges will be inducted into the XTREEM SHUFFLE - HALL OF FAME

STAIR SHUFFLE - bill bojangles robinson and shirley temple

Originally called the 'stair dance' by legendary tap dancer Bill Bojangles Robinson in the early 1900's. Seen here in the famous movie clip with Shirley Temple from, The Little Colonel (1935). Bill is about 56 years old in this clip, some pretty smooth movin for an old fella. See how you stack up.
