Subway Shuffle comp (Aus)

Seems like everybody's gotta do one of these online shuffle comps. The latest is from Subway (the food chain), with some decent prizes too (not just a dj's old turntable) There's $2000 cash and heaps of ipods.

It's not really shuffling as we know it, just Subway cashing in on the Shuffle. But who knows, worth a go the real thing might win :)

Russia: 4MR Shuffle Crew + 1st Moscow Melbourne Shuffle Cup

 

Our Russian shuffle friends have been very active the past few months. We welcome for the first time on MSO, Russian crew from Moscow 4MR (For Mother Russia).

The first vid is a short introduction to the 4MR members, and the next 3 are from 4MR's very well organised first ever Moscow Melbourne Shuffle Cup held earlier this year.

The prize is a very nice looking medallion. The competition is 1-on-1, and the competitors are selected from a draw of names from a cap.

A great looking shuffle scene there in Moscow guys, we're looking forward to seeing lots more from you.

Shifter, Champion @ Miri NYE Rave 2007/2008 (Malaysia)

Congratulations to Shifter Hardstyle Prodigy who won the "Shuffle Dance Competition 2007 for 2008 New Year Rave Party Countdown" (Malaysia) on 31st Dec 2007. The event was organized by RT Krokop in conjuction with Celcom (telco) and Sarawak Tourism Board and got published in the national press.

Great to see Shuffle events picking up business and tourism sponsorship, fantastic. Here's the winners (pic below), with what look like giant cheque's for the prize money...always welcomed :)

I recognise Alicia and some of the Tribezone guys in the group pic too. Tribezone came 2nd runner up. It's the 1st time they have travelled from Kuching for a competition. Good effort Tribezone, looking forward to seeing more of you.

Shifter have a great set of new moves in this vid. The little 'rubber legs' sideways jump is excellent! well done guys. And that fall, from the circle move is very good, nice development on the motif. In fact, Shifter are showing some very classy moves and are really expanding the whole genre of team shuffling.

Shifter have come a very long way from the 6 months or so ago when they first contacted Melbourne Shuffle Oldskool. Lots of hard work rehearsing. There's no easy way to improve with dance, just sweat.

Shifter @ Junior Sports Carnival -Angsana J.B (Malaysia) Dec 2007

Shifter Shuffle School ! Well not quite ;) but this Junior Sports Carnival at Angsana J.B (Malaysia) December 1&2 2007 was done in conjunction with the Ministry Of Education and TV3 which broadcast it nationally.

Shifter's in this event: Iqal, Izam, Kechik, Afiez, Afie & Faez. Well done guys.

So how would you like to have the Shuffle as part of your school work? :))) Check it out with your local schools, most schools have some form of exercise programs, so why not Shuffling!! Ask a teacher, get the ball rolling.

Shifter - Melbourne Shuffle Winners

Congratulations from Melbourne Shuffle Oldskool, to Shifter for 1st place doing a great choreographed team shuffle at the 'Graceful Live Show And Art Exibition 2007' in Jusco Tebrau (Malaysia).

Apekwhuut - Melbourne Shuffle Champion 1st International Dance Festival - Malaysia

Congratulations from Melbourne Shuffle Oldskool to Apek, for his Melbourne Shuffle first place win, at the 1st International Dance Festival in Malaysia in June.

Yep, the Melbourne Shuffle is an officially recognised dance style now. The festival is recognised by both the International Dance Sport Federation and the Olympic Council of Malaysia.

Who'd of thought eh? The Shuffle could be an Olympic event!! Better get yourselves into training :)
